I hope you're all ready, tickets in hand, because this weekend in Georgetown, Colorado its going down! Celebrating its seventh year, the Sonic Bloom 2012 festival kicks off this Thursday evening for a four day weekend of Art, Music, Performance, Sustainability, Life and Spirituality. Performers of all kinds will unite together for a very unforgettable weekend! Dozens of acts including Papadosio, PANTyRaid, Minnesota, VibesSquad, Griz, & Ill-Esha will be performing throughout the weekend. They will also be receiving some of the best local artists that Colorado has to offer as opening talent. Names like The Acidophiles, Fisk, Jantsen, Robotic Pirate Monkey, Michal Menert, Dirt Monkey, & Crushendo will be laying the ground work for this years festival, which has one of the most STACKED line-ups (Locally, Nationally, & Globally) that I've ever seen!

As we gear up for Sonic Bloom 2012, we wanted to get a bit hyphy and talk to some of the extremely off the hook local talent that is representing at this years Sonic Bloom.
Thanks to Rebecca over at Tsunami Publicitymaking the connection, we were able to catch up with Whomp Truck & Mile High Sound Movement Resident BADMAN Greg Fisk, or FISK(TREETHUGGER). Thankfully he agreed to talk to us.

- DUBCO- "How are you today Greg?"
- FISK - " Great, just enjoying some downtime currently in Denver. Gearing up for Sonic Bloom this weekend, stoked!"
- DUBCO - "We at DUBCO among many others are seriously excited to see your set this weekend, what can we all expect from your Bloom set this year?"
- FISK - "TONS of new material, sprinkled with LOTS of Biggie Smalls."
- DUBCO - "Hell yes! We are HUGE Biggie heads here at DUBCO. That is great to hear. When will your set be this weekend and how long will it be?"
- FISK - "I will be performing Friday night from 9:30pm-10:00pm in the Weed Dome, or the "Rocky Mountain HydroPonics Dome" as I think it's actually called."
- DUBCO - "Right on, can't wait for that! Word on the street is that Sunday is your birthday! Is that true?
- FISK - "Yes!, Sunday is my birthday I'm very stoked to be celebrating it with so many great people at such a beautiful Colorado location.
- DUBCO - "So how can people best find your music Greg?"

- DUBCO - "Great!, So where else can we catch a FISK set this summer?"
- FISK - "I'll be performing at The Hive in Denver on Hune 28th. July 13th I'll be at Round Midnight. July 21st I'll be tearing up the Beta Beatport Lounge, & I'll be rocking a set with my long time homie Ben Samples as Fresh To Death at the StateBridge in Bond, Colorado on July 27th & 28th. The StateBridge is pretty sweet, it is a great room to play and it offers camping in cabins & yurts right near the river. I highly suggest checking it out."
- DUBCO - " Wow, that venue sounds truly amazing, we'll definitely have to scope it out, as well as those other dates! So one last question comes to mind when you mention Ben Samples that I can't help but ask because everyone is dying to know."
- FISK - " Shoot."
- DUBCO - "Okay.....gulp... Do you & Ben Samples have a romantic relationship?
- FISK - "Hahaha... no, but you'd think so the way we argue sometimes just like an old married couple. We're the best of boys. Friends, roommates, we're both the middle child in our families. We have a lot in common, Ben is like a brother to me."
- DUBCO - "Hahaha right on, it's just clear that you guys are tight homies, and that was our attempt at humor. But I'm glad that we got that out of the way, you can sleep sound Denver. Well Thank you very much for taking the time to speak with us Greg, we look forward to your set this weekend!
